You’ve assessed where you are (CORE). You understand why you’re there (SELF). Now comes the question: Where do you want to go?
The GOAL stage transforms insight into intention. It’s not about arbitrary targets or generic wellness goals. It’s about designing a life that reflects your deepest values across all six dimensions.
Intentional Goal Setting
Beyond “Feel Better”
Most people enter therapy wanting to “feel better” or “be happier.” These are valid desires, but they’re not goals — they’re outcomes. Goals are specific, measurable intentions that lead to those outcomes.
Six-Dimensional Goals
In CODE, you set goals across each dimension:
- Love: “I want to express vulnerability with my partner once a week.”
- Work: “I want to establish boundaries around work hours.”
- Play: “I want to return to painting, even imperfectly.”
- Mind: “I want to notice my negative self-talk without believing it.”
- Body: “I want to prioritize sleep as non-negotiable.”
- Soul: “I want to define what meaningful contribution looks like for me.”
The ALLI Goal-Setting Process
Values-First Approach
Before setting goals, ALLI helps you clarify your values:
- What matters most to you?
- What does a life well-lived look like?
- What would you regret not pursuing?
Goals disconnected from values become chores. Goals aligned with values become compass points.
Current State → Desired State
For each dimension, you define:
- Where you are now (your CORE score)
- Where you want to be (your target state)
- What changes would get you there (specific behaviors and shifts)
Realistic Stretch
ALLI helps you calibrate goals that are:
- Challenging enough to create real change
- Achievable enough to maintain motivation
- Meaningful enough to sustain effort

The FATE Predictor
One of the most powerful features in the GOAL stage is the FATE predictor:
Two Futures
ALLI shows you two trajectories:
- Where you’re headed if you stay on your current path
- Where you could be if you make intentional changes
This isn’t prediction — it’s projection. Based on your patterns, ALLI extrapolates likely outcomes. The contrast can be sobering. And motivating.
Regularly Updated
As you progress, your FATE projection updates. The gap between “staying the same” and “doing the work” becomes visible evidence of your choices.

Your therapist plays a crucial role in the GOAL stage:
- Challenging goals that might be avoidance in disguise
- Deepening goals that could go further
- Connecting goals to the patterns uncovered in SELF
- Ensuring goals serve your healing, not your perfectionism
Why GOAL Matters
Awareness without intention is just insight. Insight without direction is just philosophy.
GOAL transforms understanding into movement. It answers the question that keeps people stuck: “Okay, I see the pattern. Now what?”
